I watched a review of the new Subaru Trailseeker. A good car. Comfortable, well-built, drives just fine. The steering is comfortable, the driving experience is great, the rain is falling, the birds are singing… Well, okay.
I have no doubt that the Trailseeker is an excellent vehicle. But I still can’t quite figure it out: what exactly is this thing?
A while ago, I got into an Impreza and immediately knew: this is a Subaru. I drove it — and that feeling only got stronger. But what about the Trailseeker? Beyond “a nice new car,” what exactly is it? As one of my military friends once put it, “the heater works, the music plays.” Metaphorically speaking, that’s pretty much the Trailseeker.
But that still leaves the question: where is Subaru in all of this?
